So many people out there aren’t proud of themselves. They prefer to live another person’s life. Which is impossible. You can only be the true version of yourself.
Don’t pray to be like other people. The reason is simple: you don’t know what the people you wish to be like are going through. Work on yourself so that you can be your own version.
The world we live in is too superficial. Other people’s lives aren’t what you think it is. There are millions of people that want to be like you. So why look down on yourself?
Embrace yourself. Encourage yourself and speak positive words to yourself. Don’t be scared to try new things. You’re great. You’re blessed.
Be proud of yourself. Be proud of your background. Be positive. And do not give room to inferiority complex or low self esteem.
Be proud to tell your friends and the people around you about your family. It doesn’t matter whether you’re rich or poor. You don’t have to feel bad about yourself. Appreciate yourself every day.
There are so many situations that has happened to me in the past and each time I look back, I’m grateful for the new me.
Although, some situations will arise that will want to make you lose hope but please don’t. This is just a stepping stone to your greatness.
Always remember that nothing good comes easy. Only you can work on yourself to become a better version of yourself. Only you can change your story.
Be optimistic about your life. Explore more. Try out new things. Explore personal and self development. Go for courses that will enlighten you about what you care about.
Do not accommodate discouragement from bad mouthed people. Just do your thing. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
My growing up was tough. I didn’t enjoy my schooling all through. I was always sent home because I couldn’t afford to pay my fees in time. I was beaten for not being able to afford textbooks and workbooks.
My parents were almost giving up. When I finished with my primary school education, I moved into junior secondary school. I thought things were going to get easier.
Oh! Things went worst.
I cried my eyes. But that didn’t solve half of the problems on ground. I succeeded in finishing with my Junior Secondary School with good grades. I later got into the Senior Secondary School. My parents could not afford to pay my fees. I skipped classes because of school fees.
My parents got all sorts of advice from folks and foes that I should be taken to a government owned school. Most of the government schools in my country are notorious for their poor quality.
But mum insisted on making me complete my Senior Secondary School in a private school. She doesn’t want any of her kids to to attend a government school.
I succeeded in all my papers. I got to my final class in secondary school. All through these moments, I had the choice of doing the wrong things to get ahead. But insisted that I wouldn’t lose focus.
I finished with my secondary school education. I had to stay at home for four years because I was unable to get a place into any higher institution of learning in my country. It wasn’t easy. I wrote several qualifying exams and was tired of writing them altogether.
After observing that no solution was forthcoming, I decided to enroll in a distance learning school to get my degree. I started ease without stress. I’m in my finals now. I’ll be married next year to the love of my life.
So no matter what you’re going through, don’t give up. Be satisfied with the little you have now. Improve on your skills. Get more education. Do not get carried by what you see around you especially on social media. All that glitters isn’t gold.
