Next week is my 23rd birthday! And holy crap, a lot has changed since last year! If you’ve ever thought one year isn’t enough time to completely, radically change your life – read this!
One year ago this month
I was experiencing depression for the first time in my life after losing my 22 year old best friend to a type of cancer that old men usually get.
I was in a 9 to 5 retail job in Australia, just to help pay my rent, with a company who treated their staff horribly.
I woke up every day to an alarm and would feel anxious before my day even began.
I’d come home crabby and mentally exhausted from being treated horribly by customers, and feeling completely unfulfilled.
I was frugal AF with my money, living in scarcity mindset, literally budgeting $30 a week for groceries and rarely treating myself to anything.
One year later (now!)
I use the pain of losing my best friend every day to drive me to live a life she never got the chance to, because that’s what she told me she wanted for me.
I never set my alarm, because I usually don’t start working until 11 am.
Every day is different and I love the versatility! I take random mornings, afternoons, and evenings off to go to the beach, take naps, or take myself out to lunch. When I say lunch, I mean ice cream.
I treat myself all the time to massages, flight upgrades, eyelash extensions. They’re 100 percent necessary if you’re a woman, okay? I never limit myself to something I want to buy because I fully believe in abundance, and my income is no longer determined by someone else.
I’ve attracted incredible people into my network who share my values, my vision, and push me to be a better person every day. My best friends and connections are 6 and 7 figure business owners who are changing the world.
I built my own six figure online business in eight months by using just my story & Facebook, and I did it without EVER being anyone but my authentic self.
Big lesson: Change
You don’t have to put on a mask or be someone you’re not just to get quality clients and become a well-respected authority in your industry.
I had a $15,000 month (my biggest month back then) less than two months after finding out I was (surprise!) pregnant with my first child, a little girl.
I’ve given thousands of dollars to loved ones I’ve always wanted to give back to.
I have my own inner circle of almost 130 entrepreneurs who I get to help build their own profitable online businesses.
I finally raised my 1:1 coaching program to $10,000. If you’re hesitant to raise your rates for any reason, do it!
I’ve finally experienced what it feels like to have a real “why” that drives you to drastically change your life and I owe it all to my little girl.
If you read this to the end, I want you to know that you’re fully in control of your life, and where you are next year at this time is 100 percent up to you. You can be your authentic self, build an empire, and make a ton of money doing what you love.
The secret is to always ask yourself “How can I inspire someone today?”
